Services
All of our treatments are designed around our experiences and ability to effectively diagnose known issues the body goes through. This can be from sitting at your desk in an office, pushing that personal best in the gym, or getting the most out of your players during a sporting event. We will tailor a solution that suits your body and your needs.
Joint mobilisations help to regain normal joint movement in a pain-free range, by relieving pressure on joints, reducing inflammation and improving nerve function. The therapist will perform the application of a force (a quick, shallow thrust) to a specific joint, slightly beyond their normal range of movement, creating an audible “pop” or “crack”. Mobilisations are normally used alongside other types of soft tissue treatment.
JOINT & SPINAL MOBILISATION
Explained
Exercise rehabilitation following an injury, is vital in re-building and re-educating the body back to its former status. We can assist in providing rehabilitation programmes for all stages of exercise from initial injury, all the way through to functional training. This will include key aspects such as: flexibility, strength, power, proprioception and agility. Postural analysis and correction can be assessed upon request.

GRASTON TECHNIQUE
Explained
Graston Technique is a type of therapy that utilises an instrument along the skin and soft tissues, to treat the injured areas. This can help to increase the healing process of a specific area, and relieve tight tissues. The technique assists with breaking down scar tissues and adhesions, which occur post-injury or post-surgery. It produces an increase in vascular response, cellular exchange and helps the re-alignment of collagen fibres.
Cups are placed over several areas to produce a vacuum effect, lifting soft tissues, which creates an upward stretch within the muscle and fascia. The vacuum effect assists in increasing blood flow and induces a stretch effect, which aids in reducing muscle tension and pain. The vacuum application of the cups pull blood into an area, leading to the tissue becoming saturated with oxygenated blood containing nutrients.
CUPPING THERAPY
Explained
Sports/deep tissue massage helps to manipulate soft tissue, to improve and restore correct muscle function. This aids in increasing flexibility and blood flow, removal of waste products and breaks down adhesions. The massage we offer includes: Muscle Energy Techniques (METs), Soft Tissue Release (STR), Myofascial release, and other advanced sports massage techniques.
SPORTS MASSAGE
Explained
Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) is a pain control treatment. It uses electrodes placed onto the skin over a painful area, to deliver electrical impulses to the nerves. Pain relief occurs because pain signals are blocked from reaching the brain, by blocking the transmission of pain impulses at the spinal cord (spinal gate mechanism), and by stimulating the brain to produce endorphins.
ELECTROTHERAPY
Explained
Kinesiology tape (K-Tape) is a stretchy, flexible tape applied to the skin. Sports taping is used to give a feeling of support to muscles and joints during training, competition and rehabilitation, without restricting your movement.
K-TAPE & SPORTS TAPING
Explained
Therapeutic ultrasound uses high-frequency sound waves, too high to be felt, directed at soft tissue beneath the skin. We sometimes use it alongside hands-on treatment and exercise as part of a rehabilitation plan.

PERSONAL TRAINING
Explained
We also work with personal trainers who can help you with strength and conditioning when in the gym. These are key elements of any training programme, which play a major role in your performance during training and competition, to keep you injury-free. A personal trainer will help to build a unique training programme, which will complement your training in sports, to improve performance and reduce risk of injuries.
COMPRESSION THERAPY
Explained
Compression Therapy/Pneumatic Compression Devices (PCD) is where a pump fills a pair of inflatable boots with air, and four internal overlapping chambers of the boots inflate from foot to thigh sequentially. Many people find it helps tired, heavy legs feel fresher after training or competition.
ACUPUNCTURE
Explained
Acupuncture involves the insertion of very fine needles into the skin at specific points on the body. We use it alongside hands-on treatment and exercise rehabilitation. It may give short-term relief of chronic low back pain, neck pain, tension-type headaches and migraine, and many people find it relaxing.
